Li Zicheng from Zaozhuang, Shandong province, won the championship in the youth men's group with 59 minutes 52 seconds. Meanwhile Gladys Jerono from Kenya won the championship in the youth women's group with one hour 11 minutes 25 seconds.

"I didn't expect to win. Taishan Mountain is beautiful, and the course was really challenging," said Gladys Jerono.
This year's festival was opened on Sept 7, with over 300 guests from 11 countries and regions gathering on dialogues and mutual growth.
"It is hoped that through the successful holding of the climbing festival, the immense value of Taishan Mountain will be further highlighted," said Ka Sero, mayor of Taean county, South Korea, who also emphasized the long-standing bond between Tai'an and Taean county.

The festival also features Shandong's autumn promotion event as well as series of presentation of Taishan Mountain culture, bringing together representatives from sister cities, overseas travel agencies, and content creators to open a window for the world to experience Tai'an.
Initiated in 1987, the festival has become an important platform for promoting Taishan Mountain and showcasing Tai'an, while also boosting the sports industry and advancing nationwide fitness.
