The "Shandong tour for visa officials in China" event was held in Binzhou, Shandong province, on Oct 20 and 21. Eight countries' visa officers stationed in China, including Spain, Croatia, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Slovakia, Egypt, and Chile, joined the event to facilitate the visa policy and procedures.
During the event, the visa officer delegation visited Weiqiao Guoke (Binzhou) technology park, where they gained a better understanding of the city's technology innovation and achievements.
The delegation also toured Hunaghe Pavilion, a local landmark, and experienced traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Through TCM techniques such as pulse diagnosis, cupping and acupuncture, they learned the philosophical wisdom of regarding "preventing disease before it occurs". Some of them reckoned that "experiencing culture in person" can be a good way to learn TCM culture and its philosophy.
